Weather complaining

New York is really chapping my hide (although I still haven’t gotten past loving to hate it).  As a West Coast transplant I am not in favor of extreme weather.  Since moving here in 2011 we have suffered an earthquake, two hurricanes (true, one in North Carolina but we sure felt it in NYC), two tropical storms, one polar vortex, and Nor’Easters beyond my reckoning.  Plus it’s sticky and gross in the summer.

Not that California, land of my birth, is any better.  They have four seasons there, too, just slightly different: earthquake season, drought season, fire season, flooding/landslide season…

Washington, the land of my youth, is much more hospitable though Seattle is one good earthquake away from doom.

Where does that leave us?  Why, sailing away to destinations of our choosing, of course!
